30 in 30: OOP TOTW Golds
30 in 30 is a series of 30 investing and trading tips, 1 posted each day over the course of September leading up to the FIFA 21 release in October. Below is a list of the tips we have seen already.
As I mentioned in the TOTW Investing post, Team of the Week cards are in packs from 6pm UK time on Wednesday to 6pm on the following Wednesday. When a player receives a TOTW card, their respective gold card (and UCL card, if applicable) goes OOP (out of packs).
Just as we target TOTW cards due to lack of supply, going OOP for a week can cause gold cards to rise as well, particularly if they are usable for SBCs or in-game.
Gold Acerbi (shown above) went OOP for TOTW 20 from January 29th to February 5th. In that time, he rose from 4.4k to 8k, a ROI of nearly 100%.
This isn’t the case with every gold card that goes out of packs. However, understanding which players have high SBC value will help to determine which golds make for good investments.
Acerbi was seen consistently in cheapest SBC solutions throughout FIFA 20 because of his good league, nation, rating, club, and position. This is a good indicator that he would rise when going OOP.
