Marquee Matchups Predictions

Another week of Marquee Matchup’s here! Hopefully you were all able to capitalize on some of the tips last week. I know I had some success and look forward to more this week. Let’s dive in.

River Plate and Boca Juniors

Superclásico! Enough said. The most popular and most successful clubs in Argentina meet and I love this being chosen for a Marquee Matchup. Chief already mentioned Casco the LB, but I also like Fabra, the other LB in this scenario. These two should provide good options for investments.

FC København and Brøndby

Another derby provides another possibility. I like the Copenhagen Derby as a good possibility for EA to throw a curveball at us. With this being selected, I like to aim for the cards that have limited selection at the position or only one or two “higher” rated cards. One example is Ankersen, the RB.

Lokomotiv Moscow and CSKA Moscow

A big match between two top clubs square off where a win for Lokomotive could put them into first place. Look for Mario Fernandes as a great opportunity to invest in. Another good possibility would be Kasaev as the only gold LM.

Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern München

The “German Clasico” or, Der Klassiker, is on and a likely candidate for a Marquee Matchup. As for a few investment options between the clubs, I like the backup GK’s, Ulreich and Weidenfeller. Look for backup gold cards to expensive positions or positions with limited options here.

RSC Anderlecht and Club Brugge KV

This derby between two top clubs provides a possibility at getting chosen by EA. As with some of these other Marquee Matchups, look to direct toward positions with limited cards available for each individual team. Some cards I like here are both Anderlecht LM’s and both Club Brugge LB’s.

Genoa and Sampdoria

Genoa’s local derby, “Derby of the Lantern,” provides a derby in a major league that could be selected. I like the RB’s for an investment opportunity here for the best bang for your buck with a limited selection for cards for both teams at this position.

Look to buy during the release of WL rewards and to sell during hype, only if the profit is there. Otherwise, hold through the release and make the most profit you can! Would love to hear your thoughts and comments below!
