Team of the Week 11 Predictions
Recapping the top performances of the week/weekend and venturing some guesses of who will earn a spot in Wednesday’s Team of the Week. Follow me on Twitter if you don’t already!
Player: Antoine Griezmann
Reason: The French forward broke out this past weekend, scoring 2 goals and dishing out an assist in Atletico’s dismantling of Levante. This would be his first inform of the year.
Player: Raheem Sterling
Reason: Sterling had the game-winner in City’s 2-1 victory over Huddersfield on Sunday. Also, he dished out an assist to Aguero, priming him for a spot in TOTW 11.
Player: Memphis Depay
Reason: The Dutch speedster scored 2 of Lyon’s 5 goals in their victory over Nice. This earned him Man of the Match honors and a rating of 9.66 for the game.
Player: Charlie Austin
Reason: The striker from Southampton stood out in their 4-1 victory over Everton this weekend. He managed to score a brace and also earned Man of the Match honors.
Reason: With two goals, an assist, and a 10.0 rating on Whoscored, Jonas is set to receive his first inform of the FIFA 18 campaign following Benfica’s 6-0 victory over Setubal.
Player: Justin Kluivert
Reason: The 18 year old Dutch had his first breakout game of the season this past weekend. Kluivert knocked in 3 goals for the victors, looking quite impressive in the process.
Reason: Girona’s Spanish midfielder scored a brace to get a point out their matchup with Real Betis over the weekend.
Player: Ever Banega
Reason: The 29 year old Argentinian came to play in Sevilla’s 3-2 victory against Villareal. He scored a goal and assist and earned Man of the Match honors, giving him a great shot for TOTW 11 honors as well.
Player: Mattia De Sciglio
Reason: Holding a clean sheet and scoring a goal, the Italian fullback helped Juventus get 3 points after their 3-0 victory against Crotone.
Player: Vedad Ibisevic
Reason: The Bosnian striker scored both goals in Hertha’s 2-0 victory over Koln. This would be his first inform of the season.
Player: Andre Almeida
Reason: Benfica’s 27 year old from Portugal delivered a goal, assist, and clean sheet in their 6-0 rout over Vitoria on Sunday.
Player: Roberto Inglese
Reason: Earning an 8.1 rating and Man of the Match honors, the Italian striker scored both goals in Chievo’s 2-1 victory over SPAL, helping them move up to 9 in the Serie A table.
Player: Wahbi Khazri
Reason: It’s not often we see informs from Tunisia, but TOTW 11 may be an exception. Khazri recorded a brace to help Rennes take away 3 points in their Ligue 1 matchup.
Player: Jerome Roussillon
Reason: The French fullback had a goal, assist, and helped Montpellier hold a clean sheet to lead them in a 3-0 victory over Lille. It would be his first inform of the season, and potentially could be a nice card if EA gives some nice upgrades.
Seen that Bertrand might get one. If he does will he be a good inform to maybe invest in? Depending on stats, he could end up being one of the best LB in the prem. Thats if he gets one.
We will have to wait and see if he gets an inform and what his price settles at. I’ll be posting my TOTW 11 investment watch list on Sunday, so keep an eye on that for potential players to buy.
When would be the best time to buy?
His cheapest point has already passed, unfortunately. However, I think any deals you can grab under 20k are still good investments. I’ve been grabbing mine for 17-18k on bid yesterday and today.
