Throwback Thursday Repost: Investing In Discard Gold Informs

No risk, discard investments are some of my favorite investments. They are great when it comes to Marquee Matchups, and they are equally excellent for Team of the Week cards.
Each week, I look to pick up some of these players during Weekend League rewards (Thursdays at 7PM UK time) and Squad Battle rewards (Mondays at 1AM UK time). Most often it is easier to get them for discard during SB rewards as TOTW prices tend to hit their cheapest later in the week.
As long as you are getting them for discard (or within a few hundred coins of discard) there is literally ZERO risk with these investments; you won’t win the lottery with them, but you also won’t go bankrupt.

Notice that all of these players are 81 or 82 rated. Team of the Week 7 features Dembele, Toloi, Grifo, Farfan and Marcal. Look to pick them up today or Sunday during rewards for close to discard, and watch them rise in the weeks that follow.

what informs would u pick up cheif and whould u sell team before rewards and buy back after rewards
I’m targeting Gomez, Andre, and Lienard. They all have decent ratings (81), come from good nations and also have good leagues.
I wouldn’t recommend selling your team before rewards and buying back after. I don’t think the market is going to drop that much.
What prices are you looking to pick those 3 up at? Also kind of an unrelated question but I am looking to invest in some of these cheap IFs from the current TOTW and also looking to pick up some 83 rated cards for 1500 or less in anticipation for futmas sbcs. I am limited with 120k coins but am considering selling off my current investments which would put me around 350k to invest with. Do you think this is smart to sell and re-invest or do you think these cards still might rise a good amount? The cards I would sell are IFs Dante, Kruse, Pastore, Lang, Demirel, Funes Mori, and Kostic. Thanks!

Yes, I think it’s a good idea to sell and reinvest. I don’t think that Dante, Kruse, etc. will have nearly the ROI (return on investment) that the TOTW 12 players will have.
Sounds good, thanks! And yeah I have already made 6-7k on each dante and kruse so can’t imagine them going that much higher. I have already picked up 4 of andre and lienard for 12k and under in just a couple mins, going to continue to grab as many as I can.
Most of them are 12.5k now im on 350k how much of that should invest?
I just bought 2 million coins worth, if that gives you an indication.
oh so probably best to invest like 200k in my terms :))))
