TOTS Investment: 81-83 La Liga/BPL Defenders
Players: 81-83 Rated La Liga and BPL Defenders
Reasoning: As we’ve been discussing about for the last couple weeks, TOTS is fast approaching. I believe it will start next Friday, May 10th, beginning with Community TOTS, followed by BPL TOTS on May 17th, and La Liga TOTS on May 24th
Along with these new squad releases, we will also get SBCs to accompany them. Last year, we saw these SBCs over the first couple weeks of TOTS (see the full calendar for more details).
As you can see, there were both high rating requirements and league requirements for these SBCs (2 players from BPL/La Liga).
As a result, many gold cards from both those leagues rose substantially, particularly the 81-83 rated gold defenders from La Liga of FIFA 18 and 81-83 rated gold defenders from BPL of FIFA 18.
While I’m not going to list every example, here are a few so you can get an idea of the impact these SBCs had (click the above links to do more of your own research).
There are a good amount of these 81-83 rated BPL/La Liga gold defenders, so try to diversify. Stock your club, and do your best to get players from good nations as well (England, Brazil, Argentina, France, Germany, etc.).
Target BUY: This is based on the individual player. Don’t overpay. Try and buy them for less than their average over the past couple weeks.
Target SELL: When you are happy with the profit. Very hard to say with these.

I agree that EA try to be unpredictable, but I’m not sure what you mean when you say “this not a reason according to the last year SBC”.

Some players are more likely to be required than others. This is why I consistently recommend informs and high rated cards as opposed to UCLs; they are required more often.

While packs are being opened is generally a good time (rewards/lightning rounds/etc.), but considering how many of them there are, there will be windows in which some of them are cheapest. Just keep an eye on their prices over the next week and buy during those windows.

Yes, 1300 would be good.

I don’t think there will be an SBC if it hasn’t been released by now, no.

Yes, non-rare players are fine.

so I took a look at your suggestions and have a question.
for the 83 BPMs I want to invest in David Luiz and Laporte (both good nations and CBs).
atm luiz is at 4200 and laporte is at 6900. would you diversify and invest in both or is it generally better to invest in the cheaper card in such cases?

Generally, you’ll get the best ROI with cheaper players, but I still would recommend to diversify in this scenario.
What do you of Cahill , Digne and Stones?

Hey chief, I was looking at the price graphs of players from FIFA 18, and it seems like there was a decent drop during BPL TOTS, but every player seemed to have the most massive spike around June 1. Any idea why this is?
There was a World Cup mode released on May 29th in FIFA 18 that caused the market to crash heavily. We will not get that this year.

He is a good buy at 1100 coins, yes – it doesn’t look like he is still at that price, though.

With the right SBCs, yes – but no way of knowing if we will get them for sure.

Sell when you are happy with the profit. They will rise when they are required for an SBC. I don’t know if/when that will be.
