Investment: Batch 2 Golds
‘Best of Packs’ Batch 2 was released today. As I noted a couple weeks ago when Batch 1 was released, golds of these cards are particularly good investments (see this post).
Here are the gold cards that I’m interested in from Batch 2:
- Acerbi: XBOX 6.5k PS4 6.5k PC 7k
- Lucas Leiva: XBOX 7k PS4 7k PC 7.5k
- Bernd Leno: XBOX 8k PS4 8k PC 9k
- Milinkovic-Savic: XBOX 12k PS4 12k PC 14k
Sell before they go back into packs on Friday, July 17th. List for lazies in the meantime.

SBCs in general, yes. The best reason that they should do well is that other OOP players have done well recently – it is a good sign.
They’ve already risen a decent amount. Any of these still a good investment?
Considering most of them are already almost to their max PR, probably not. Timing is everything when it comes to investments, both buying and selling.

Hey Chief I like the investment, was tough to get lots of players at your target buy but still managed to get a few. Hold these for an 83-85 sbc drop? Cheers
They will likely gradually rise while OOP. Pay attention to their max PR as you won’t be able to get more than that out of them.
Hi Chief, when would you expect the IF’s from last week to peak in price? (Pizzi, Albion, Acuna, Bender etc.). First time investing in IF’s after your post the other day. Not sure what sort of price to list for lazies. Any guidance would be appreciated.

I would list for ~ 20% more than the cheapest on the market. They will likely gradually rise with time, but I wouldn’t be holding for more than 1-2 weeks.
As of right now, the players listed are going for a bit more than the target prices, mostly by a couple thousand. Should I wait for a potential drop or should I work with the current prices?

If you are looking at investments 2 days after they are posted and the prices are inflated, generally it is going to be too late. Wait until the next investment comes up. It will likely be informs from TOTW 28.

Subscribers get @ in discord when there are new posts, but that is the only way other than email.
I bought Leiva’s around 8,5k – 9k, sold them for around 11k-12k each

Will special cards from the current batch of re-rereleases rise after they go out of packs? Got Scream insigne and TOTW moments Inaki trage able but their RPR is quite low currently. Worth holding on a bit?
Was also wondering if you can recommend any fodder to invest in before the party bag SBC apparently coming on Tuesday
You can refer to my Top Buys for some ideas – a player like Cuadrado kills 2 birds with 1 stone as he will also likely be going OOP for TOTW 29.
They might rise a bit when they go OOP, but typically you are better off selling and reinvesting in players in my Top Buys as they will offer you a better and more immediate ROI.
