24 for 24: Sniping Targets
24 for 24 is a series of 24 investing/trading highlights from FIFA 23, 1 posted each day over the course of September leading up to the FIFA 24 Ultimate Edition release on September 22nd. Reviewing these will help aspiring FIFA traders learn about the ins and outs of the FUT market and remind veterans of what they already know. Below is a list of the investments we have looked at already.
Building up your coins in the early stages of the game is crucial to getting big budgets later on. Just as the rich get richer in real life through investing, so do the best traders in the FIFA market.
The first step to accumulating coins in the first couple days of the game is by identifying the best players to snipe. The cards we target can be broken down into two categories:
- Sniping individual players
- Sniping multiple players that fall within a particular filter
When it comes to sniping individual players, some of the best targets are expensive, low rated players. Low rated cards are packed more frequently in comparison to higher rated cards, and people who pack these lesser known players are more likely to make an error in listing. To find these, I often search FUTBIN for players that are 75-81 rated ordered by price.
However, in FIFA 23 there was extremely low supply during the web app release due to lack of FIFA points. Sniping individual players didn’t work well. This meant that we had to turn to broader filters to increase our chances of winning a snipe. Finding these filters takes a bit of cleverness, and we often communicate what is working for us in the discord. By looking back at old discord conversations you can see what worked in years past and use that information to help guide you to other filters.
Cheers,
Chief
