22 for 22: FOF Gnabry

22 for 22 is a series of 22 investing/trading highlights from FIFA 21, 1 posted each day over the course of September leading up to the FIFA 22 web app release on September 22nd. Reviewing these will help aspiring FIFA traders learn about the ins and outs of the FUT market and remind veterans of what they already know. Reasoning for Investment: One of the biggest changes this past year was the introduction of preview packs. This addition allowed FIFA players to open packs without requiring to purchase with FIFA points or coins; you only paid if you liked what was inside.

Preview packs debuted at 4pm UK on Friday, June 18th. At this time Festival of Football Team 1 was in packs, and these cards tanked in price as people spammed the new PP (preview packs).

Team 1 was replaced by Team 2 just two hours later at 6pm UK, though, and players like FOF Gnabry saw a huge rebound in price in the following days.

It will be interesting to see if PPs remain in FIFA 22. If they do, I think they will present some more great investing opportunities early on, notably buying during content from 6-9pm UK time and selling before content the following day (this was an effective strategy in the first weeks of FIFA 21).
