24 for 24: Frenchies
24 for 24 is a series of 24 investing/trading highlights from FIFA 23, 1 posted each day over the course of September leading up to the FIFA 24 Ultimate Edition release on September 22nd. Reviewing these will help aspiring FIFA traders learn about the ins and outs of the FUT market and remind veterans of what they already know. Below is a list of the investments we have looked at already.
France has more meta options than any other nation in the game. It is easy to build squads around them, and their prices often reflect that. Players like Coman, Nkunku, Theo Hernandez, Kounde, Yedder, Mendy, Dembele, and Kimpembe all saw huge surges in value in the first few days of the game.
With recent transfers to Chelsea and PSG, Nkunku and Dembele also have a good chance to go out of packs early on (see OTW Golds article). We will have to wait and see what their prices are on September 20th, but they are on the top of my list for investment options. If I had to choose between the two of them, I would side with Dembele for a couple reasons:
- He is a winger, and wingers tend to perform better than central players
- He will be cheaper, and cheaper players generally (but not always) offer better ROI than their more expensive counterparts
